Mindful yoga & authenticity

During the time I travelled the world I practiced a variety of classes with different teachers from all over the world. A teacher to me is good when the person is true to her or himself. It wasn’t the teachers that were flawless, but the people that taught yoga from their heart. That to me is a teacher from whom I have learned the most. That reminds me of the following quote from Maya Angelou:


“People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Teachers that have fun at what they do, make it seem easy and light to move on the breath. For my personal practice I like to follow moon classes that direct me into affirming the things I desire in life and work on myself. On the other hand, I practice Bikram yoga in a 40-degree temperature room to challenge my mental and physical state to become more strong inside and outside.
